100+ Club December Draw

MEMBERS OF WALMERSLEY GOLF CLUB HAVE WON £450 IN THE PAST THREE MONTHS. The latest are Mike Tasker who won £75; Mr Vice Captain who won £50 and Ken Hollins who won £25 in the December Draw. They are all winners in the 100 Club and you could join them by purchasing a number for just £36 a year (less for the current year as we are part way through). All you have to do is contact Mr President ; Mr Captain or Hilary Ankers or fill in an application from the table outside the office. Congratulations to the winners.

Greens update 12/12/18

After the extremely wet and windy weather last week, it was good to inspect the course today and I was amazed to say that all the rain we had last week is draining / has drained away. The work on the 1st (drainage ditch) at part of the Winter Works Plan is coming on well… and we have had a major result. Whilst going a bit deeper than originally planned we have uncovered a stone culvert that was pouring water towards the direction of the LH bunker on the 1st Green. Greens Update 16/11/18

It’s been a busier week than normal for the Green staff with the new water system around the 18th green, 9th green and 6th green, and 1st tee area now being dug in. This has also allowed the drainage ditches to be cleared around this area too. Mats have been placed on certain holes and we ask members to please tee up on the mats without exception. Over the course of the next few days ALL Temporary Greens will have cups placed in them, just in case we have to use them at short notice. Rake and Play is now in…
